To crack the SSC, CGL in first attempt is not a hard nut
to crack but we have to plan right strategy and work hard
on our weak areas. Consistency and smart work will help
us to ace the exam in first attempt.
We have to be expert in these subjects:
Mathematics: Focus on Quantitative Aptitude first.
Then work on Advance Mathes.
English: Upgrade vocabulary (root word). This is the
best way to learn new words. Also read newspaper, this
will help us to improve comprehension. Grammar rules
(Fill in the blanks, error spotting, sentence improvement)
Reading comprehension practice
Reasoning: This will help us to score good marks.
We have to do at least 25 questions of reasoning daily.
Practice basics: coding - decoding, analogy
First of all, focus on accuracy, then speed
General Awareness: Current affairs (read newspaper daily and
make notes of last 6 to 8 months)
Previous Years Papers: Daily solve PYQs because 80% of the
questions are based on from the last 5 years.
Set a Timetable:
Try to study at least 8 hours daily
Practice Mock Test after basic preparation
2-3 mocks per week If the answer was wrong in the Mock
Test, try to clear your doubt. Analysis is more important
than number of mocks.
After completing the Mocks: Improve Speed &
Accuracy. Know tips and tricks after concepts.
Avoid guesswork (negative marking!)
Revise: After completing all the syllabus, make short notes
Revise after 2 or 3 days
Revise after 15 days
Revise after one month
Revision is very important, without revision nothing is possible
Suggestion:
Don't change books again and again
Motivate yourself and avoid comparison
Believe in yourself: I can ace the exam in first attempt
Tips for aspirants:
SSC exam is not very difficult; it is a repeat - based exam.
