Here is a list of phrases:

  • Kindly consider my application......
  • I assure you of my sincerity..............
  • I would like to express...........
  • With reference to your advertisement........

Learn these Formal Phrases because while writing an application, we should not
write Informal Phrases so always avoid using informal language (in Hindi, we can say Bol Chal ki Bhasha)

While writing an application points to remember:

  • I excel at adapting my communication style to diverse cultural contexts. (Correct)

Usually, we write in an application, " I am very hard working, polite and sincere candidate. If you give me a chance, I will leave no stone unturned." (Wrong)

In the paragraph, it is written "very hard working"- Informal language.

' Write one word for "very hard working" - diligent.

Thus, we can write this paragraph in this way:

Let's use these words in a sentence:

cooperation and support to my seniors while maintaining professional discipline.

Try to use these words in an application like this.

Master the " Everyday" Tense: Cracking Simple Present Tense for Competitive Exams

    When Do We Use

                       the Simple Present Tense

The Present Indefinite Tense, also known as the Simple Present Tense, is used to express actions that are     habitual or general truths. It is commonly used to talk about daily routines, facts, and universal truths

             Structure of Present Indefinite Tense:

Affirmative Sentences: Subject + Base form of the verb (+s/es for third person singular) + Object

  •                                                   You write adventurous stories.
  •                                                    She writes in a जर्नी
  •       Note: Verb ends with 'e' - just add s
              make + s = makes

Rules of adding 's':  Most verbs simple

He plays online games                           She sings a melodious song.

Add 'es':   -es is added when verb ends in: s, sh, ch, x,

                                      My grandmother goes to the

 temple every day.

  •                                                 My father watches the news on TV daily.

Verbs ending in a consonant + 'y': Change 'y' to 'i' and add 'es' .

  •                                            The pigeon flies away and disappears from the earth.

  •                                              The baby cries when he sees a stranger.

            Verbs ending in a vowel+ 'y': Just add 's'

  •                                                            She enjoys doing bungee jumping.

  •                                                             Sincerity pays in the long run.

PYQ Based MCQ TEST:    Tense + have + Sense Verbs (Very Important)

Verbs of possession (have, own, possess, belong to) are not used in continuous tense.

He is having a big showroom in Delhi.

Here, ' having a big showroom shows permanent possession , not a temporary                                  action. So, ' is having ' is wrong. We must use Simple Present Tense - has

Ans: He has a big showroom in Delhi.

When is ' having' correct with have?

When have + eat/ drink? experience/ take temporarily:

  •                                                             I am having lunch
  •                                                           She is having milkshake.
  •                                                            He is having a headache.

                                               But not for permanent possession:

  •                                                        I am having a luxurious car.

Four -Week Intensive Plan:

Focus on these high - weightage Teir 1 areas:

Mock Test

Start doing mock test (at least 2 mocks per week) to boost your confidence,

English Section

Do sample papers and clear your doubts of Active / Passive and Direct / Indirect as
these are scoring topics in Teir 1 as well as in Teir 2.

Current Affairs

Start preparing General Knowledge questions from September 2025 to March 2026.

Four Weeks English Revision Checklist

Now it's high time to clear your doubts and do proper revision before exam, so
divide the syllabus in 4 weeks.

Week 1:  "Grammar is the Backbone of any competitive exam".

Grammar is the backbone of English Section in competitive exams because most of
the questions are based on grammatical rules. So, if you have command of grammar
rules, you will surely achieve high scores in SSC, Banking, UPSC and Railways.

Error Spotting and Sentence Improvement, these two types of questions, are frequently
by the examiner so focus on the rules of:

Subject -Verb Agreement:

Tense Consistency:

Practice High - Value conversions

Prepare these two topics, as they are scoring topics.

Active - Passive Voice

Direct & Indirect Narration

Week 3 Vocabulary & Context

Don't just memorize words; understand how they work in sentence.Focus not only on vocabulary, but also on how to apply them in sentences.

Cloze Test

Practice 2 or 3 passages daily, if you want to ace the exam.

Homophones & Confusing Words

Know the differences like Compliment vs. Complement, Practice vs Practise.

Idioms & Phrases

Prioritize solving PYQ covering 2021 to 2025.

Week 4 Speed & Accuracy (Mocks)

Daily Mini Mocks

Try to solve 25 questions within 12 minutes to boost your confidence.

Para Jumbles.

"Para Jumbles", also known as sentence rearrangement, are a common component
of competitive exams. They test a candidate's ability to logically sequence sentencesto form a coherent paragraph. In a para jumble question, a set of sentences is given in a random order, and the task is to rearrange them and to create a sensible narrative.
For example,
  1. The children decided to go for a morning walk.
  2. The sun was rising behind the hills.
  3. The children felt a sense of calm.
  4. As they stepped out, a gentle breeze greeted them.
The correct order to form a paragraph would be: 2, 1, 4, 3. This sequence logically
describes the setting first, followed by the childrens' decision, the action they take, and finally, their emotional response.

Reading Comprehension

Skim the text to understand the central idea instead of detailed reading. So, develop the
habit of picking out the main idea quickly.
👉 Skim quickly ➡️ understand gist ➡️ answer fast.

Tip For Tier 1 Aspirants
Always attempt vocabulary and one - word substitution first in the exam since they are less time consuming.
Focus on application, not memorization.
